Training Coordinator

Scope of Position:
The Training Coordinator will support the design, coordination, and delivery of training programs across PERI Canada’s five locations. This role ensures all employees receive timely, effective training, aligned with safety, operational excellence, and professional development goals. This position will serve as a continuing resource to new hires as they integrate into the organization. The Training Coordinator collaborates closely with HR, Operations, H&S, and department leaders to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will play an essential role in advancing and supporting our Company culture and core values through the onboarding experience and daily interactions with employees.
What you'll do on a typical day:
LMS Administration:
- Manage and improve PERI’s Learning Management System (SuccessFactors).
- Ensure automatic assignment of required training for new hires or employees transitioning roles.
- Track completions, certifications, and provide training reports and analytics.
- Create interactive e-learning content using Articulate 360 and other tools, based on HQ materials or SME input.
- Develop training for Emergency Preparedness, OHSA compliance, and technical programs like Fundamentals of Design.
- Work closely with PERI Academy to share and ensure Canadian training needs are catered.
Training Program Development & Delivery:
- Deliver instructor-led training (in-person and virtual) on topics including safety, onboarding, and refreshers trainings.
- Build onboarding plans and 90-day integration milestones for new hires, including hands-on modules.
- Ensure training programs meet provincial legal requirements (OHSA, WHMIS, AODA).
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
Colloboration and Knowledge Management:
- Partner with SMEs to co-create training materials and maintain SharePoint-based knowledge hubs.
- Gather feedback and adjust content to support continuous learning and employee growth.
- Track training KPIs and provide data insights for ongoing improvement of our development programs.
HR related tasks:
- Building strong relationships with internal clients and acting as a point of contact for the leaders, employees, and managers.
- Maintaining and facilitating the Culture Amp System, including ownership of 90-day check in surveys, engagement survey data maintenance and exit interview surveys.
- Ensuring timely and accurate HR/HSE/Training invoicing process completion.
- Maintaining the HR one drive file for clarity and consistency
- Participating and leading human resources projects and initiatives and facilitating rollouts;
- Maintaining the employee anniversary/service awards in conjunction with a third-party gifting platform
- Providing general administrative support including preparation of announcements, creating minutes, document distribution and filing.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Post-secondary education in HR, Training & Development, or related field.
- 1+ years’ experience in a training or HR role, preferably within the Construction, Engineering, or Manufacturing industry.
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, UKG).
- Solid public speaking skills with the ability to engage a variety of audience members.
- Exceptional Communicator (written and verbal) who possesses the interpersonal and communication skills needed to effectively synthesize information and present/communicate to various levels of the organization and in diverse team environments.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with co-workers and vendors and conceptualize cause and effect in various departments.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize short and long-term goals and strong multitasking capabilities.
- Strong ability to identify and implement process improvement.
