Head of Operations

What you'll do on a typical day:

Core tasks

• Ensure compliance with Operations and material standards & processes within local subsidiary 
• Ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies  
• Manage and optimize commercial and logistics processes 
• Contribute to PERI subsidiary in meeting customer expectations by providing a comprehensive operational service 

Responsibilities

• Functional responsibility for Material Management, Yard Operations and Customer Service Management (incl. Order Management, Site Supervision and Freight Management) 
• Responsible to achieve local top-line Operations and material KPIs (utilization and inventory coverage) 
• Improvement of subsidiary’s profitability through optimization, increase of efficiency and cost management along with operational and logistic processes. 
• Monitors and measures performance based on KPIs 
• Responsible for the implementation, execution and continuous optimization of commercial processes, reverse logistics processes and material management processes
• Ensures integration of Operations and material planning into financial planning processes 
• Monitors portfolio management within subsidiary and Regional Head of Operations 
• Ensures material quality in subsidiary according to centrally defined standards 
• Identify, define and lead improvement projects, business development opportunities and strategic targets
• Ensures smooth interfaces and integration towards different departments like Sales, Engineering and Finance

What you'll need to be successful:

• Degree and/or appropriate qualification in the field of business management, general management or Operations / Logistics 
• Min 5 years of operational / logistics experience, ideally in construction services environment 
• Several years of working experience in multinational corporations (MNC) or overseas of advantage 
• Practical knowledge of cost control and management 
• Working knowledge of operational procedures and market approach 
• Health and Safety Qualification 
• Proven management, intercultural and social competence 
• Proven experience in leadership and people development  
• Strong analytical, diligent, reliable and open-minded with strong communication and organizational skills 
• Good knowledge of MS office and general knowledge of other relevant systems 
• Fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia (preferably)
