Driver Truck: FLD & Checker

Role Summary:

There is an exciting new opportunity for a Driver Truck: Forklift Driver & Checker at our Mbombela branch.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• To load and off-load equipment using any special loading related equipment on vehicles.
• To help others with loading and unloading using any special loading related equipment on vehicles.
• To check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• To count and check all stock that is loaded and unloaded in the yard and at sites.
• To obtain receipts and/or signatures for all goods delivered.
• Inventory is checked and inspected to determine quantities and condition.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and any damage to vehicles.
• To check the vehicle after contents have been unloaded to ensure there has been no damage.
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Daily forklift pre-checklist done.
• Report any defects and faults on trucks and forklifts.

Qualifications & Skills/Attributes:

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 with Maths & English
• Relevant Code License (Code 14)
• Updated Public driving permit / PDP
• Valid Forklift License

Skills:

• Proven experience in driving, warehousing, and inventory control
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks and operate equipment safely
• Must be able to read a map
• Very good knowledge of traffic law
