PERI is currently seeking an Area Sales Representative – Building to join our dynamic team! The primary objective of this role is to drive revenue growth and achieve strategic sales objectives. Area Sales Representatives are responsible for generating revenue through the sale and rental of PERI’s products, solutions, and services. Collaborating closely with internal teams the Area Sales Representatives provide support to customers throughout the project lifecycle. Building and maintaining customer relationships is a key aspect of the position, along with expanding the customer base within your assigned geographical area. Utilizing PERI's resources, the Area Sales Representatives develop comprehensive offers and technical solutions for both prospective and existing customers, employing a consultative sales approach.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Actively prospect and identify customer, and job sites for PERI products within a geographical area. 

  • Actively sell PERI products to all construction sites within the designated geographical area. 

  • Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential customers, with a focus on maintaining strong transactional relationships with decision-makers. 

  • Actively manage customer rental projects and serve as a liaison between PERI and the customer.

  • Maximize in-person customer interactions to build and maintain relationships, understand requirements and needs, and provide support with current and future projects.

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to add value throughout the sales cycle.

  • Maintain pipeline, revenue forecasting, customer communications, and database within CRM or applicable systems on a weekly basis.

  • Perform ongoing market research to stay up to date with trends, changes, and growth activity that may impact the business and customers, including understanding the political, economic, and competitive landscape in the assigned territory.

  • Manage the sales lifecycle from initial customer contact to project closeout meeting.

  • Develop and execute a personal sales strategy including time and territory planning in order to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

  • Effectively manage pipeline and coverage to ensure target achievement.

  • Continuously learning and maintaining knowledge of products, services, and their application.

  • Follow proper safety protocols while in PERI and customer locations.

 

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying information across various organizational levels.
  • Proficient in understanding PERI's sales process, concrete/scaffolding construction project lifecycles, contract terms and conditions, and the B2B business environment.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and the market potential within the assigned geographical area.  
  • Ability to identify key stakeholders and high-potential customers, understanding their business needs.
  • Self-motivated with a competitive drive and resilience, capable of generating business independently while collaborating with team members as needed
  • Proficient in project management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
  • Goal-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset, effectively prioritizing tasks and managing resources.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time for job-related activities.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Exceptional proficiency in verbal and written communication in the English language.

Additional Information:

PERI Offers a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, supplemental options, 401k retirement with company match, paid holidays, sick leave, and paid time off. The annual base salary range for this position is between $75,000.00 and $80,000.00. This position is eligible for commission and other rewards including annual bonuses, short- and long- term incentives, and program-specific awards.
