Contract Management Specialist (f/m/d) | Region APAC

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Support the subsidiaries of PERI in the Asia Pacific region (India, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia) especially the local sales team or contract mangers by
  • giving guidance and support in the negotiation process with the customer (mostly via video conferences)
  • take the lead in reviewing and amending contracts, terms and conditions directly with the client (ideally with the presence of the assigned SE/SM) whilst focussing on securing the contract
  • identifying key clauses or area of risk that needs to be mitigated
  • implementing best practices for contract management (establish base line business principles)
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements of contracts
• Knowledge transfer: hands-on support and training for local contract managers and sales

What you'll need to be successful:

• Degree in law or business administration or engineering with focus on law or comparable qualification as Contract Manager
• At least 5 years of experience in managing contracts in the construction or engineering industry
• Technical understanding based on experience in comparable industry with technical solutions
• Strong understanding of construction contracts including technical and legal issues, payment terms, provisions for variations and adjustments and allocation of liability
• Understanding of construction costs
• Experience with dispute resolution in construction contract
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, strong attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to travel
