What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Ensuring all PSD numbers are accurate and resolving PSD discrepancies 
  • Coordinating and processing transfers  
  • Coordinating activities with National Supply Chain Planner and Inventory Control Coordinator 
  • Generating Returns and Delivery tickets, labels and receipts and coordinate returns and delivery processing with Yard personnel 
  • Coordinating returns and delivery processing with yard personnel 
  • Maintaining and generating returns and shipping logs 
  • Updating and maintaining the shipping/receiving calendar 
  • Providing status updates on trucking to order management, sales and client when requested 
  • Releasing orders to the yard 
  • Overseeing the processing of all inbound returns and outbound delivery transactions including: 
  • Generating Returns and Delivery tickets, labels and receipts and coordinate returns and delivery processing with Yard personnel 
  • Recording and coordinating unplanned shortages and substitutions with Yard personnel and National Supply Chain Planner 
  • Generating and maintaining back order reports and follow-up with the order 
  • Overseeing all local and regional traffic and transportation coordination including: 
  • Souring and obtaining quotes for local and regional carriers 
  • Scheduling all carrier appointment including shipments, returns, transfers and supplier trucks and process drivers 
  • Coding, validating and approving freight invoices 
  • Ensuring that the returns have 2 matching and verified counts before releasing return to the service team Initiating 3rd counts as required and entering counts into PSD 
  • Printing and correlating clearance sheets 
  • Filling in the clearance log after creating the reports 
  • Liaising with CCA’s and Supervisor on return count completion priority 
  • Uploading and organizing the return pictures onto the server 
  • Preparing and scheduling shipments as assigned 
  • Scheduling daily transportation needs with different carriers/couriers 
  • Overseeing the secure and accurate loading of deliveries 
  • Tracking shipments and verifying receipts of shipments as required 
  • Adhering to company procedures and policies to minimize error 
  • Making every effort to ensure that material being shipped meets PERI quality standards 
  • Performing inventory checks as required Ensuring that the Occupation Health & Safety and PERI Health & Safety standards and practices are adhered to  
  • Respect working procedure 
  • Use protective personal equipment when required 
  • Report hazards and accidents 
  • Take care of your health and safety and that of the others 
  • Define OHS working procedure 
  • Instruct employees 
  • Monitor working conditions 
  • Register and analyze reported accidents  
  • Other related duties as assigned 

What you'll need to be successful:

Education and Qualifications  

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a warehouse, distribution center or rental yard environment 
  • Experience in organizing and maintaining inventory and inventory records. 
  • A working knowledge of applicable provincial health and safety requirements and an ability to apply these practices. 
  • Experience in a stockyard environment preferred 
  • MS Office applications, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point

Working Conditions

  • Mainly indoor work, however, may be expected to go in the outdoor yard from time to time as required 
  • 8-hour workday 
  • Working in an office environment 
  • Operation of desktop computer and peripherals 
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed

Salary

  • $55,000 - $60,000
