Operations Manager

What you'll do on a typical day:

Functional Responsibilities:

• Oversee Material Management, Yard Operations, and Customer Service (including Order Management and Freight Management).

Target Achievement:

• Achieve local operations and material KPIs (utilization and inventory coverage).
• Enhance profitability through process optimization and cost management.
• Monitor performance based on KPIs.

Standards and Processes:

• Implement and optimize commercial, reverse logistics, and material management processes.
• Integrate operations and material planning with financial processes.
• Manage facility operations.

Portfolio Management and Material Quality:

• Monitor portfolio management and ensure material quality meets defined standards.
• Lead improvement projects and identify business development opportunities.

Alignment and Integration of OTC Functions:

• Ensure effective communication and integration with sales, engineering, and finance.

Recruitment & Development:

• Recruit and onboard operations staff.
• Develop staff and facilitate training opportunities.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Degree and/or appropriate qualification in the field of business management, general management or Operations / Logistics
• Min 5 year of operational / logistics experience, ideally within the PERI world or in construction services environment
• Working knowledge of PERI business models, operational procedures and market approach
• Health and Safety Qualification
• Proven management, intercultural and social competence
• Proven experience in leadership and people development
• Practical knowledge of cost control and management
• Strong analytical, diligent, reliable and open-minded with strong communication and organizational skills
• Good knowledge of MS office
• General knowledge of PSD and other relevant systems
• Fluent in Chinese & English
