(Senior) Product Manager - Digital Planning & Engineering Solutions (m/f/d)
Weissenhorn, DE

What you'll do on a typical day:
You have a strong grasp of digital product landscapes, a keen eye for market trends, and a passion for creating scalable solutions? Then join us and take on the strategic leadership of our digital portfolio in the Planning & Engineering domain – from PERI CAD to BIM and XR applications!
In this role, you will shape the future of digital planning in the construction industry. As a Senior Product Lead, you will be responsible for our domain portfolio, lead a team of Product Managers, and ensure that our solutions succeed on the market – technically advanced, economically viable, and customer-centric.
Your Responsibilities
-
Develop and drive the domain strategy and product roadmap for digital solutions such as PERI CAD, QuickSolve, BIM tools, XR, and configurators.
-
Take full ownership of the portfolio – from strategic direction and technical scalability to market launch.
-
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers – with clear roles, KPIs, and outcomes.
-
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Markets, development partners, and vendors) and ensure effective collaboration.
-
Identify market and customer needs, translate them into prioritized actions, and turn innovative ideas into real solutions.
-
Establish a governance and KPI framework that makes value contribution measurable – from adoption to business impact.
-
Facilitate strategy and portfolio workshops, represent the domain in management boards, and introduce new technologies (AI, XR, automation) in a targeted way.
What you'll need to be successful:
- A degree in engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification.
- At least 7 years of experience in digital product management (ideally software/SaaS in the CAD/BIM/engineering environment).
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams – preferably also on an international level – and strong understanding of the interplay between strategy, technology, and market.
- Solid experience with agile methods (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban); certifications such as PSM, PSPO, or PMP are a plus.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Excel, and the ability to design KPI systems that generate real insights.
- Strong customer orientation, persuasive communication skills, and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality and the drive to actively shape the digital construction world – ideally with a strong interest in innovations like AI & beyond.
